PDF sewing pattern for The TN31 Parka Hood addition.
This is a PDF pattern that will give you the relevant pattern pieces to make a hood for the TN31 Parka. There are two options, you can either make a hood that is detachable with buttons or a hood that gets sewn in. This includes the pattern pieces and instructions for both options.
Please note you have to already have the TN31 Parka pattern in order to make this, these are just the additional pattern pieces with instructions for those parts.

Intermediate.
TN31 Parka jacket pattern, TN31 Parka hood pattern, main fabric, matching thread, 6 x approx 17-22mm buttons, 3.2m drawstring cord, ribbing and lining (optional).
Use a woven for the main fabric, such as dry oilskin, oilskin (lined version only), tweed, woolens, cotton drill, cotton canvas, waterproofed cottons and linens.
For the ribbing neckline, Merchant & Mills have used rib that stretches by half again, i.e. 10cm piece stretches to 15cm.
For the lining use a barrier lining if you are making the oilskin version. Other lining options; brushed cotton, cotton poplin, or a medium weight slip lining in viscose or acetate.
Using something like oilskin for the main fabric will ensure it keeps it structural shape, but it would look equally good in something more slinky like a tencel twill.
