Count down the days to Christmas, and make memories which will be cherished for years to come. Fill each pocket of your Advent Calendar with small gifts, activities and treats, to be unwrapped and enjoyed each day in the lead up to Christmas.
Size Range: 55cm x 87cm (21.5" x 34"), with twenty-five generous 10cm x 12cm (4" x 4.7") sized pockets.
Confident Beginner
Main fabric, matching thread, tape meaure, pins, sewing scissors, ruler, iron, removable fabric pen, 65cm (25 9/16") length of 22mm (7/8") dowel, 55cm (21 5/8") length of 10mm (3/8") dowel, fine sandpaper, and 1m (39 1/2") of cord.
Adding Numbers: You may want to add numbers to make it easier to identify each day. There are countless ways you could do it, but some suggestions are:
- Embroidery
- Fabric Paint
- Fabric Markers
- Iron-on Transfer
- Stamps
A cutting mat and rotary cutter would make the process easier but are not essential.
Woven fabrics; best suited to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton, linen, light weight denim, or even
calico.
It is not recommended to use any fabrics with stretch.
Fabric - Base: 65cm (w) x 105cm (h) (26" x 42") of woven fabric.
Fabric - Pocket Panels: 80cm (h) x 85cm (w) (32" x 34") of woven fabric
