Intermediate.
Main fabric, lining, matching thread, 16 x 2cm / 3/4" buttons*.
Interfacing is optional but recommended for most fabrics, you will need 0.9M/1YD.
If making an unlined jacket you will still need 0.4M / 1/2YD of lining for the pocket bags.
*Option - 3 smaller buttons can be used on the tab and lapel, in which case you will need: 13 x 2cm / 3/4" and 3 x 1.5cm / 1/2" buttons.
Woven fabrics: dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 8 -12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas.
A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured jacket.
For linings: barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise - woven fabrics such as cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings are all suitable options.
